Join The Firedawg Podcast Team as a co-host!

Are you passionate about sharing your knowledge and experiences with a wider audience? Do you have a knack for engaging conversation and a desire to contribute to the DoD and American Fire Service? If so, the Firedawg Podcast wants YOU!

The Firedawg Podcast is searching for a dynamic and engaging Co-Host to join our team. We’re a podcast dedicated to exploring all aspects of the military and American fire service to include, exploring tactical approaches, new technological developments, fire service leadership, after-action reviews, and much more. We aim to connect, inform, and inspire our listeners with insightful interviews, thought-provoking discussions, and a healthy dose of firehouse humor.

As a Co-Host, you will play a crucial role in shaping the direction of the podcast, connecting with our audience, and helping us continue to grow and evolve. This is a fantastic opportunity to contribute to the DoD fire service community, build your personal brand, and have a ton of fun along the way!

Key Responsibilities & Qualifications:

  • Co-Hosting & Content Creation: Participate in bi-monthly podcast recordings, conducting interviews, leading discussions, and sharing personal experiences. Collaborate with the existing host to brainstorm episode topics, research guest speakers, and develop engaging content outlines.
  • Audience Engagement & Promotion: Engage with listeners on social media, respond to comments and questions, and assist in promoting the podcast through various online platforms.
  • Required DoD Experience: Must have current or previous experience within the Department of Defense (DoD) fire service; current DoD experience is preferred.
  • Essential Skills: Excellent communication (verbal and written), engaging personality, critical thinking, and the ability to work independently and collaboratively. Knowledge of fire service operations, tactics, strategies, and current trends is essential.
  • Additional Assets: A basic understanding of audio editing and podcasting principles is a plus, but not required. The current podcast hosts will be responsible for the majority of audio and video editing.

Compensation: The Co-Host position is on a volunteer basis.
